Weekend Fun

This weekend turned out to be a really good one. And, what better way to spend it than with friends! Scot, DeAnn, the kids, Piper, Spirit, Tim and I all went to Little Mulberry Park this weekend for a cook out and a nice game of Old Fashion Frisbee...

Here we are getting the grill ready for hamburgers and hotdogs! Everybody stand back...Tim has a "reputation" with fire and grills. (Ask him sometime how he burned his eyebrows off).

He may have the pyromaniac gene in him, but he sure can make a good hamburger...as you can tell here as Tim and Scot eat lunch at the ever manly Pink Easter picnic table, courtesy of yours truly!! :)

DeAnn and I had a nice time watching the kids and walking the dogs. Then a game of frisbee took place. I didn't actually paraticipate in the frisbee game, digesting lunch and all....but I did watch the dogs!

Spirit is such a good dog!!

So a great weekend was had by all. Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend and have a great week ahead.

Cats...as usual.

Tim was out of town this week and the cats really missed him. Especially Jessie. Of course I missed him too. It was too cold to go outside and make some fun pictures so I just made some of us inside this week. Hope everyone has a great week.
Here, Maverick is not overly excited about a kiss from mommy...
But he is excited about a drink of water. Notice how he has to lie down to drink...LAZY FELINE!

More 5K excitement

Ok,

Here are some action shots of the Berry 5K

Here Tim is running his heart out!

Here I am running, Scot was taking pictures of us as we all ran by....

Tim sees the finish line, just a few yards ahead.....

Run Timmy, Run!!!

Christian and me at the finish line. Whew, what a run, but it sure was fun!!!!

The 2009 Berry 5k

This is the very first 5K that I have ever completed. Not that I have ever entered one, but I actually entered and finished this race. I mostly walked it, but I did run some of it. And for a newbie, I think I did pretty well on my time, approx 45 mins...well, at least I wasn't dead last to cross the finish line. I have a few pictures here, but more to come this week as soon as I get them down loaded

Testing my patience

The weather lately has really, REALLY been testing my patience. And now, today, the weather man had the audacity to predict snow. I mean really, it's March 1st for goodness sakes. Where is Spring? General Beauregard Lee predicted an early spring, what's the deal? I long for warm days with a gentle breeze and the sound of birds chirping and creeks trickling cool water. Drinking sweet tea on the back deck, while petting a feline to two, or six...

I have no pictures this week because it's been too cold and windy for words so, again, I will post some older pictures of warm days in the sun...Have a great week! And keep your fingers crossed for Spring!
