Here Scot and the boys are getting the campfire ready, Brady is guarding the Marshmallows.

Although not much into camping...DeAnn and I got into the groove by roasting marshmallows for our smores...

...and Brady just flat out burned his!!!

Some fun was also spent with Emmett. The kids just adore him and he loves them!
Look Ma...no allergies!!
I love him...he's so cute!!!
Can I have him mommy? He wants to come home with Piper!!
I am awfully adorable.....
Hope everyone has a great week!
He is absolutely adorable. He's tiny, black and full of vigor. He is a kitten after all...
Our house if full of cats, which actually is very beneficial when raising an orphan. Since Emmett didn't have his mother or litter mates to learn from and play with, he had my cats, most importantly he had Maverick...this way Emmett can learn the important cat stuff like fending for yourself, hunting and covering his poop in the litter box. (Maija is desperately trying to teach Emmett to cover his poop. She can't stand uncovered poop...I digress)...
Maverick has the patience of a saint. Which for a cat is most unusual. I think it's because Mavie is a Ragdoll and by nature they are patient cats...and very loving...and HUGE. Mavie is 17 lbs now.

First in was Christian, followed closely by Leah. Brady was a little more apprehensive and took his time. As you can see, Tim and Christian have the "take no prisoners" attitude. I just marvel at that line of thinking...and worry...

Scot, DeAnn and I decided to just enjoy the relaxing day and stay warm on the deck. No need to freeze in May, right?
