This past weekend, Tim and I, along with our best friends and their kids, went to Ski Beech, NC. I am not too fond of the snow, but we all decided to take this long weekend vacation. As it turned out, we had a really nice time. The actual air temperature was warm, and the resort was able to make snow so everyone could enjoy a good snow ball fight and some good down hill skiing.
We got there Friday night, just in time to see a beautiful sunset. Our cabin was right off the ski slopes so we were able to watch all the nighttime adventurers do their thing. It was actually kinda funny to see how many people "took a powder" right outside our window.
The kids, and yes that includes Tim, really had fun with snowball fights. I joined in on Saturday morning and wound up falling backward down the steps into the snow. Like I said, snow isn't my thing.
Saturday we all went ice skating. It was an outdoor rink, which was nice, but the air temperature was so warm that the rink started to melt!!
Sunday afternoon we all went skiing, first practicing on the bunny hill. Finally Tim, Scot, Brady and I went down an intermediate hill and had a blast. I don't have any pictures of that as I was charging down hill at a fairly fast pace and thought better of getting my camera out!
I have to say that I had a really nice time. Good food, good weather and Great Friends!
