It's a cats life for the Dahl's

Well, as some of you may know, Tim and I have been fostering an abandoned kitten I found at the front door of my clinic. His name is Emmett.
He is absolutely adorable. He's tiny, black and full of vigor. He is a kitten after all...
Our house if full of cats, which actually is very beneficial when raising an orphan. Since Emmett didn't have his mother or litter mates to learn from and play with, he had my cats, most importantly he had Maverick...this way Emmett can learn the important cat stuff like fending for yourself, hunting and covering his poop in the litter box. (Maija is desperately trying to teach Emmett to cover his poop. She can't stand uncovered poop...I digress)...
Maverick has the patience of a saint. Which for a cat is most unusual. I think it's because Mavie is a Ragdoll and by nature they are patient cats...and very loving...and HUGE. Mavie is 17 lbs now.
Here Emmett is peeking over the top of the Kitty Condo...he's just tall enough to peek over the edge. Mavie was tired so he moved to the luxury suite at the top. Even Tim has gotten used to having lil Em in the house. Much to his dismay...I think Emmett is growing on him.

So, thus far we have success in raising this precious orphan kitten who has seeming adjusted very well. All in a days work for the Dahl House!
